BC Freestyle is happy to announce the list of freestyle athletes from around BC that have qualified for the Greater Vernon 2012 BC Winter Games. Each participant will receive a package with information regarding their travel plans and accreditation for the games.  It is very important your ADDRESS IS CORRECT, AND YOUR CITY OF DEPARTURE AND RETURN IS ACCURATE on the registration each participant has submitted.  Zone reps will assist with this if you think it was not accurate.

The Zone Reps have been very helpful and BC Freestyle thanks them for their hard work through the registration process.  Your communications have been great.  To view the zone rep contact list click here.  
 
Costs - There will be a fee for each participant.  I am currently working this out with support  of your clubs.  BC Freestyle has contributed $2000 to the games.  These fees go towards the BC Games society, the officials and the coaches per dium.  The fee will be determined and you will be notified by January 26, 2012.
 
BC Freestyle is requesting Clubs with athletes attending the games to help seek funds to support these fees.
 
Just so everyone knows I (Wade Garrod) am the provincial adviser for freestyle skiing.  All questions or inquiries may to go through your zone reps, coaches or myself.  I will update this blog as more information becomes available.  Below is information and requests for support broken down by zone.
 

The BC Games Accreditation center will be at the Westbild Center in Vernon - aka. Multiplex( where the vipers play)

Zone 1 - We are still seeking at Female Chaprone to escort the BC Winter Games team from Cranbrook.  Z1 athletes will meet Mike Richards at the the accreditation center upon their arrival.  

Zone 2 - All athletes and coaches need to meet at teh Accreditaion Center in Vernon at 8:30am Thursday February 23rd.

Zone 3 - will depart Abottsford.  All athletes and coaches to meet at accreditation at 9:30am Thursday February 23rd.

Zone 4/5 - will depart and return from North Vancouver.  

Zone 6 - will depart and return to Nanaimo Wednesday late afternoon and arrive in Vernon at approximitly 1:30 am.

Zone 7 - will fly out of Terrace

Zone 8 - will fly out of Prince George
